Things to carry in Himachal Pradesh Trip

Important Documents: Carry all essential documents including IDs, travel insurance, and medical papers at all times.

Clothing: Layered warm clothing is essential as weather changes quickly in the valley.

Footwear: Waterproof boots are highly recommended for snow and rocky terrain. Lightweight shoes work at campsites.

Medicines: Carry basic high-altitude meds like Diamox, Camphor, Paracetamol, Digene, and Eno.

Cash (according to your needs): Network coverage is poor. Always carry sufficient cash.

Power Bank: Electricity may be limited, so keep backup charging options.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Delhi to Shimla | Start Scenic Journey β–Ά
    Reach a predetermined spot in Delhi and board your transfer to Shimla.
    Enjoy a scenic 8-hour drive to Shimla, through winding mountain roads.
    Upon reaching Shimla, check-in to the hotel and rest for some time.
    The rest of the day is at leisure – explore landmarks and local markets around the hotel.
    Overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 2 – Shimla Local Sightseeing | Excursion to Kufri β–Ά
    Wake to a refreshing morning in Shimla and have breakfast.
    Drive to Kufri, just 14 km away, and visit Indira Tourist Park & enjoy fun rides.
    Return to Shimla and visit the Himalayan Zoo to spot rare Himalayan species.
    Seek blessings at Jakhoo Temple on Jakhoo Hill and visit Sankat Mochan viewpoint.
    Explore Rashtrapati Niwas – former residence of the British Viceroy.
    In the evening, stroll along The Ridge & Mall Road, visiting Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, Town Hall & Scandal Corner.

Day 3 – Shimla to Manali | En route Kullu Valley β–Ά
    Wake up to a mountain morning and have breakfast.
    Start your drive towards Manali via Kullu.
    En route, admire the Pandoh Dam and scenic Mandi district.
    Stop in Kullu town to visit the Shawl Factory, Rabbit Farm, and Raghunath Temple.
    By evening, reach Manali and check-in to your hotel.

Day 4 – Manali | Solang Valley & Half-Day Sightseeing β–Ά
    After breakfast, drive to Solang Valley – adventure hub of Manali.
    Indulge in activities like paragliding, zorbing, quad biking, cable car rides, or skiing (in winter).

Day 5 – Full-Day Excursion to Rohtang Pass β–Ά
    Post breakfast, board your transfer to Rohtang Pass (closed on Tuesdays).

    Spot the twin Geypan peaks and experience snow throughout the year.
    Return to your hotel in Manali.

Day 6 – Manali to Delhi | Departure β–Ά

Things To Pack


  • Good quality rucksack (preferably 40–60 liters) & a small day bag pack (for hikes/treks purpose) with rain-cover is recommended, easy to carry trolley bag.
  • A pair of shoes (mainly trekking/sports) with good grip & waterproof, at least 2 pairs of socks & floaters/sandals/slippers.
  • Heavy down jacket, light fleece, long track/cargo pants, long/short sleeves T-shirts, body thermal wears (as per season), sun cap/hat, woolen cap & gloves (as per season), hoodie, raincoats/ponchos.
  • Personal care items like cold cream & moisturiser, sunscreen (preferably SPF40), lip balm, sanitary pads, toothpaste & other toiletries, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, body spray.
  • Personal medication (as prescribed by the doctor) & first-aid, sprain relief spray, glucose powder, tablets for headache, fever, diarrhea, motion sickness, dettol & cotton/bandages.
  • Personal documents & ID's like aadhar card, drivers license, passport or any other valid Government ID proofs.
